This weekend’s ITU World Triathlon Edmonton event promises to be a barn burner, especially in the men’s race that features all of the top five in the current WTS standings, along with numerous other big names in the hunt for the valuable points they need for either the world championship or to qualify for next year’s Olympics.

Fresh off a third-place finish at WTS Montreal last month, not to mention two World Cup wins this year, Canada’s Tyler Mislawchuk will enjoy lots of crowd support here in Edmonton as he goes after another top finish. We caught up with him after today’s press conference:

She’s competing in her first WTS race this year after some encouraging performances at World Cup races this year – she’s the only Canadian woman in the field tomorrow. We also caught up with her:
