In November we reported that World Triathlon and Super League were working together on a esports World Championship series. We now know the dates and venues for the three events that will make up this year’s series, which are all part of the Arena Games Triathlon powered by Zwift:
- April 9 2022: Munich, Germany at Olympia-Schwimmhalle
- April 23 2022: London, UK at London Aquatics Centre
- May 7 2022: Singapore Grand Final
In 2021 there were a couple of Arena Games events in Rotterdam and London. The races feature a swim in a 50-m pool followed by bike and runs done through the Zwift platform on smart trainers and treadmills.
Athletes will earn points at each of the events, with the “Grand Final” race in Singapore in May.
