Triathletes she competes against know all too well how strong Paula Findlay is on the bike, and today the cycling world got another taste of just how powerful the 2012 Olympian (in triathlon, of course) and 2022 Ironman 70.3 World Championship runner up (pictured above) is as she defended her national time trial title today in Edmonton.
Findlay dominated today’s race, winning by 34 seconds in a time of 38:26.1. Olivia Basil took second in 39:00.9, with Jenna Nestman rounding out the podium in 39:30.3. One of Canada’s best known cyclists, Alison Jackson, who won the prestigious Paris-Roubaix race earlier this year, was fourth.
