We’re not event going to pretend this is something you need to rush out and buy the triathlete in your life, but, if they’ve been hankering for a new ride for 2024, maybe giving them permission to fork out 9,000 euros on this new ride might be enough of a present.

Lucy Charles-Barclay would ride an impressive 4:32:29 split in Kona, the day’s fastest.

In case it feels like you saw a lot of this bike during the Ironman World Championship coverage … you did. This is the bike Lucy Charles-Barclay rode for her wire-to-wire victory in Kona, and it’s a bike that was seemingly designed with the Big Island in mind.

The Cube Aerium C:68X features Cube’s innovative twin head tube design and it’s unique low rear dropouts to help with handling in cross winds, stability and aerodynamics.

There’s a number of hydration options, including up to 1.5 l within the frame, along with even more refillable front hydration options as well – this video showcases all the options available to dial in the right nutrition and hydration options for you.

Even the storage box that comes with the bike includes an option to allow you to refill the in-frame hydration on the fly.

Cube’s engineers thought of everything when it came to the aero components of the bike including aero-optimized disc brake integration and even a cap to cover the area where a front derailleur would have been for 1X set ups.

The cockpit, which includes a Cube base bar with Profile Design’s 43ASC extensions, offers extensive angle, spacer and bracket options to easily dial in the perfect position for long efforts in an aero tuck.

The top-end SLT version comes with Shimano Dura Ace 12 speed components and Newmen Advanced SL R.80 Streem race wheels, while the SLX version (7,900 Euros) features SRAM’s Force AXS gruppo and a Newmen Advanced SL R.65/R.80 wheelset.

If it’s fast enough for Charles-Barclay, it better be fast enough for you, right?
